The Weiwuying Showtime series was first launched in 2019, featuring challenging and largely diverse productions. The 2020 series inherits the “lightness” and courageous DNA of its predecessor, taking up rebellious challenges and incorporating varied elements of independent music, poetry, comedy, and city folk music. This month, we may look forward to a Friday night on which musician WANG Yu- jun shares the lights and shadows, the inspiring moments that she has documented with music in The Memories of Riverside. In the world’s largest single-roof performing arts center, rid yourself of a week’s weariness and indulge in some time of content. A series of more and spectacular Showtime is about to start right away! The skies are a little grey this season, and changes to the states of international performance groups quickly affect the performance trends in Taiwan. And yet, how are productions discovered from the vast universe of performing arts, and then invited over thousands of kilometers to the stages in Taiwan?
