Next stop on the Art Map: Kaohsiung

在駁二藝術特區、大東文化藝術中心、衛武營等場域一一揭幕之後，高雄的展演場館間漸漸
發展出了自身的脈絡。除了每月提供豐富的節目與講座等活動，更透過與不同單位合作，來
推動新興的觀演方式。例如以虛擬實境與沉浸體驗為重心的高雄電影節，便在設立於駁二特
區的 VR體感劇院進行放映。
另一方面，這些場館更會在每年春天相約聚會，齊讓各處所規劃的跨類型表演節目，串聯起
一個前衛與傳統兼備、巨匠與新銳交錯的城市藝術節。本期《阿特直送》，就要來介紹「高
雄春天藝術節」（KSAF）。循著藝術節來到不同表演場地，我們也可以順道逡巡這些場館所
在行政區裡的特色之處，是一個重新認識高雄的絕佳方式。
至於在高雄還算是藝文場域新同學的衛武營，也有另一場大師級的音樂會即將在6月5日登
場。台北歌劇劇場的《50年回顧展演》，是由歌劇大師曾道雄指揮導演，將歷年精華場景，
集成為一場歌劇選粹黃金節目的「Opera Gala」。匯聚臺灣聲樂菁英，歌中有戲，戲中有歌
有舞。獨唱、重唱、合唱暨舞者，是唱作俱佳的精粹展現，並將集歌劇精彩曲目之大成，如
華格納、羅西尼、威爾第等名家，以及曾道雄親自創作之作品。

從音樂饗宴、VR電影到輪番上演的戲劇、戲曲與舞作，以後聊到要去港都走走，除了「可能
會很熱」 這個反應，一定會更常常出現這一題：「那這次，我們要去看哪場節目?」

With the inauguration of the Pier 2-Art Center, the Dadong Arts Center, the National Kaohsiung
Center for the Arts Weiwuying, art venues in Kaohsiung started to develop and take on a life
of their own. Besides the various events of programs and forums each month, Kaohsiung has
collaborated with different units to promote new ways of watching performances. For example,
the Kaohsiung Film Festival—which centers on virtual reality and immersive experience—was
partially held at the VR Film Lab in Pier 2-Art Center.

In addition, the venues mentioned above will come together every spring to hold the city arts
festival, a festival that is composed of cross-genre performances curated by different venues.
The festival is famous for mixing avant-garde with tradition, classic, and modern. In this issue’s
Art Up to Speed, we introduce you to the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival 2022 (KSAF). As we visit
different venues during the festival, we get to explore the exciting features of the venues in their
administrative districts, providing us with a new way of appreciating Kaohsiung.

As the newcomer in artistic venues, National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts has another
master-class concert lined up for the audience on June 5th. Taipei Opera Theater’s “The 50
Anniversary Concert” is conducted and directed by opera maestro Tseng Tao-hsiung. This year,
to commemorate their fifty years on stage, the Taipei Opera Theater selected essential scenes
from past performances to treat music lovers to a true Opera Gala. The Gala invites domestic
vocal talents to give their best performances, where the audience may hear stories in the singing
and appreciate dancing with the acting. With solos, duets, choir, and dancing, the audience is
in for a night of extravaganza. Bringing together a dazzling selection of opera highlights, the
performance includes classic pieces by Wagner, Rossini, Verdi, and other maestros, as well as
Tseng’s own works.
From music galas, VR movies to dramas and dance performances, Kaohsiung is a city full
of artistic events that await exploration. So, the next time people plan for a visit, besides the
comment: “it’s going to be hot,” we may be hearing more of: “Which event are we going to this
time?”
