Gates Reopened in a Changed World
一年之始，又是可以翻開空白年度記事本的時間了。（好復古的感覺，還有人在買實體記事
本？）每年臺灣可以搶先排程的第一件表演藝術盛事，就是TIFA台灣國際藝術節了⸺它總是在
幾檔節目間，就勾畫出表演藝術在當前的多種樣貌。從戲劇、舞蹈、音樂以及沉浸式等各個類
型的涵蓋，到表演團隊橫跨不同疆界、地域與文化的囊括，TIFA 的演出，總是會讓人喊出「原
來表演藝術也可以這樣！」的讚嘆。
2023年的TIFA，就用了來自法國、德國、瑞士等國與臺灣的19檔節目、129場的演出，去講述
戰爭、性別運動、種族身分認同等題目。特別是經過了二年多的限制，劇場的大門終於再度大
開。藝術家們的作品精彩依舊、燦爛依舊，但他們對於現在我們所處世界的反省檢視與提問，
不停的在作品之中迴響流盪，毫無懼色、大鳴大放。從臺灣最具代表性的團隊雲門舞集，到曾
獲東尼獎提名的劇作家、變裝皇后泰勒馬克，百花齊放的2023 TIFA，將歡迎所有人一起回到劇
場，在相遇的瞬間產生無限可能。
而隨著劇場的形式逐漸開拓，已在歐洲有著相當歷史的「紀錄劇場」，也在臺灣更頻繁地出
現。只聽過紀錄片沒聽過紀錄劇場？我們帶你去「阿特直送」好好跟它認識一下。
As a new year unfolds, it’s time to open another blank yearbook. (Too old-school? Is there even
anyone still getting physical notebooks?) The first performing arts feast that can be scheduled in
advance every year is the Taiwan International Festival of Arts, which has always easily outlined
the diversity of the current performing arts scene within a few programs. Drama, dance, music,
and immersive experience, TIFA includes various programs by performance teams across borders,
regions, and cultures that never fail to wow the audience and make them exclaim: “It’s beyond my
expectation!”
2023 TIFA features 19 programs and 129 performances from France, Germany, Switzerland,
and Taiwan, discussing war, gender movement, and racial identity. After more than two years of
pandemic restrictions, the theatre gates are finally opened again. The artists' brainchildren are
as brilliant as they were before. However, the differences lie in their reflections, inspections, and
questions about our changed world, echoing fearlessly and ringingly in their works. From Taiwan's
most prestigious Cloud Gate Dance Theater to Taylor Mac, the Tony Award-nominated playwright
and drag queen, the 2023 TIFA welcomes everyone to come back to the theater and create infinite
possibilities as we encounter each other.
